Balanced Literacy- A recently adopted program used for instruction in K-6 to help teach to appropriate levels of each student.
Compass Learning- This is an excellent tool for the teachers to use to help give the students extra practice on skills taught in the classroom.
ESP Enrichment Classes- These classes include Science, weaving, photography, scrapbooking, dance, sports, art, etc. The enrichment classes are a way for the students to explore different mediums and therefore, use their thinking skills in a new way.
Homework Help- Certified teachers stay after school every day, except Friday, and work with ages 1-6 on homework to make sure the students understand daily concepts taught in the classroom.
MTSU- Tutors, Practicum Students, Student Teachers
Reading Recovery- A program for 1st graders to help develop reading skills.Think Link- 3-6 graders take an assessment 3 times a year. The test is then graded and the reports show which state standards we as teachers need to focus on throughout the year. The teachers are also able to go onto the Think Link website and create assessments to see if the students truly understand each subskill.
Title I- A program for K-2 to help develop reading skills and extend classroom instruction.
Tutoring- Certified teachers stay after school and conduct tutoring classes in Math, Reading, and Writing, to help further the students understanding of the individual skills.
Words Their Way- This new program focuses on teaching Spelling on each student's level.Black Fox is dedicated to helping each child learn to the best of his/her ability. We are grateful for such a wonderful group of students to work with everyday!
